For those who Wishing to take a half day excursion nearby, we recommend: Chiavari - Zoagli.
It is a walk of about 2 hours of walking, with transfers and breaks we recommend a half day.
It starts quietly on foot from the hotel, runs along the sea promenade in the direction of Zoagli, passes the fara Colony (huge and tall builing of the city) and continues on the road that leads over the railway track.
After 100 meters in the curve, on the left there is the point start of the path that brings you to the Santuario delle Grazie.
From there you can already enjoy a splendid view of the Tigullio Gulf.
Going down and continuing 200 meters on the right, there is a little narrow street that will take you in the direction of Monte Telegrafo, you will pass through a beautiful wood till Sant 'Andrea di Rovereto. After some splendid "creuze" (typical path), villas and glimpses of the sea, you will come to a carriage road that will present you with a crossroads:
- On the right there is the possibility of continuing towards the Sanctuary of Montallegro.
- To the left, continue on the carriage road and descend to Sant 'Andrea di Rovereto, pass the church and continue on to San Pietro di Rovereto. Once passed the church, the road descends towards the main road Aurelia, certainly you come across with the signs that will lead you to the center of Zoagli and to the beach.
I warmly recommend you to visit the church of San Martino, enjoy a delicius ice cream fo the famous Simonetti ice cream shop in the main square or the excellent tasty focaccia from the grocery/ bakery.
You can end the journey by following the part of the promenade to the west of the village. You can comfortably return by train (the frequency is about 1 train per hour and the cost of about 2/3 € per adult.
